6th Street Reconstruction, Wells
Working in your hometown can be difficult; as you are under more of a microscope than most contractors. As a subcontractor of GM Contracting, from Lake Crystal, we took on the removals, sub cut and Class 5 portion of the complete reconstruct of 6th Street in Wells. Record rainfalls in June made for a very wet start to the project and quickly slid the schedule behind. Once the clouds cleared and the sun was able to dry the site out, we successfully completed our portion of the work just in time for the paving crew to come through and put the first lift on. 6 blocks of complete new infrastructure, subbase and paving, with the class 5 being crushed in our yard from the recycled concrete and pavement.
