New Construction, Okoboji Middle School
Construction of the new Okoboji Middle School was kicked off at the beginning of May 2019, just in time for the wet weather to start. Despite rainy conditions, the mass grading of onsite material continued through the wind and rain when possible to keep The Joseph Company on schedule to pour footings for the 85,000 sf building in mid-June. Construction of the storm water ponds and installation of the storm sewer system will begin right after the mass material operation to help drain the site; with continued underground utilities after that. The project is schedule for a substantial completion in second half of 2020.
